Inline Skating Trails I've Seen

Though I've put in quite a few miles on Minnesota trails, I hadn't taken any pictures. In 2001 I took a trip to Ottawa for training, and enjoyed skating the trails in Canada's capital.

This year, I decided that I wanted to take pictures of the local trails I visit. So far I have:

• Swede Hollow / Phalen Creek / Vento Trail
• Lake Phalen
• Battle Creek pictures. Battle Creek Regional Park consists of 1,840 acres of natural area located just outside downtown Saint Paul. This is part of the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area as well as one of the trails reviewed by the Minnesota Inline Skate Club.
• Gitchi-Gami, the new paved trail on the North Shore of Lake Superior. The Gitchi-Gami State Trail, a paved asphalt path for nonmotorized use paralleling Minnesota Highway 61, eventually will run for 85 miles from Two Harbors to Grand Marais. • Hyland Lake Park Reserve, With more than 1,000 acres of mature woodlands and a breathtaking prairie, it is hard to believe Hyland Lake Park Reserve is located in the heart of Bloomington. More info can be found at the Three Rivers Park District page.
